Play Slendytubbies 3 Online — Campaign Chapters & Modes Guide
Content Warning: Graphic violence, gore, jump scares, and disturbing imagery built on a corrupted children's-TV aesthetic. Not for young players, despite the source material.
Slendytubbies 3 is the third and final chapter of the main Slendytubbies saga by ZeoWorks (Sean Toman), released on August 27, 2017. Where the first two games were survival-horror collect-a-thons, this one added the thing the series had been missing: a fully written story campaign, alongside a wave-based Survival mode and a full multiplayer suite. It is distributed free by the developer, and you can play it online free here in your browser.
What Slendytubbies Is
The premise is exactly what the name promises: the bright, gentle world of a certain children's show, turned into a horror setting. One of the four has gone wrong. The custard is not custard anymore. The rolling green hills are the same, the sun still has a face, and something is stalking you across them.
The series started in 2012 as a Slender-style collect-the-items game, and the first two entries built a following on exactly that. Slendytubbies 3 is the one that decided the setting deserved a story — and, per the developer, the one that tells the canonical version of events, largely retconning what the earlier games implied.
Campaign Mode
The campaign is a single-player story told across chapters, played as a point-and-click exploration with item collecting and chase sequences, and it has multiple endings:
- Chapter 0 — It Was Good. The prologue. The world before it broke.
- Chapter 1 — A New Day. The morning after, and the first sign that something is missing.
- Chapter 2 — The Journey. Leaving the safety of the home dome to find out what happened.
- Chapter 3 — Run Away. The title is the instruction.
The campaign is the reason the game holds up. It commits to the idea that these characters are people with relationships, and it uses the cheerfulness of the setting as a weight rather than a punchline.
Survival Mode
Survival is a wave-based mode openly inspired by Killing Floor: enemies come in escalating waves, you hold out, and a boss arrives at the end. It can be played solo or in multiplayer, where a group can coordinate against the waves. It is the mode to play once the campaign is done and you want the setting without the story.
Multiplayer
The multiplayer side is broader than most indie horror games attempt:
- First-person shooter — competitive matches in the series' maps.
- Zombie survival — cooperative holdout against infected hordes.
- Sandbox — free play with no objective, for messing around with the world and its characters.
Be aware that multiplayer relies on community servers and player population, and the experience there has always been less consistent than the single-player content. The campaign and solo Survival are the parts you can rely on.
Versions and Season 2
The current build from ZeoWorks is version 2.5, bundled with the Season 2 DLC. Together they represent the finished form of the game — the developer has stated this is the last instalment of the main saga. A Steam release with Workshop support also exists, including an official Survival content pack.
Tips
- Play the campaign first, in order. It is the canon, and Survival and multiplayer make more sense once you know what the setting is actually about.
- Do not sprint constantly. Stamina runs out at the worst moment, and the chase sequences are built to punish players who start the chase already empty.
- Listen. Audio cues do most of the warning work. Headphones make the game both scarier and easier.
- Replay for the other endings. The campaign branches, and the alternate endings are short to reach once you know where the decisions are.
Frequently Asked Questions
- Can I play Slendytubbies 3 online free? Yes — it runs in your browser on this page, no download required. ZeoWorks also distributes free Windows builds (32-bit and 64-bit) from its own site, and there is a Steam release.
- Is it free? Yes.
- Is this the last Slendytubbies? It is the last of the main saga, by the developer's own description. ZeoWorks has made other games in and around the series.
- Does it have a story? Yes — this is the first entry with a written campaign, and it is the canonical account of the series' events.
- Who made it? ZeoWorks, headed by Sean Toman.
Conclusion
Slendytubbies 3 is the point where a parody became a series with a story worth finishing. The campaign is genuinely well-constructed, the Survival mode gives the setting a second life, and the whole thing has been free since 2017. If you only ever play one Slendytubbies game, it should be this one.
It was good, once. Now run.
